Listing & Content Policy
This Listing & Content Policy forms part of the Organiser Terms & Conditions. It applies to Event pages, images, videos, descriptions, Ticket categories, prices, promotional claims, organiser profiles, messages, and other content uploaded or distributed through Spotlyte.
1. General standard
1.1All listings and content must be accurate, complete, lawful, safe, and not misleading. Organisers are responsible for verifying every material statement before publication.
1.2A listing must reflect the Event that will actually be delivered. Organisers must not publish placeholder, speculative, duplicate, fake, or test Events in a live sales environment without Spotlyte's approval.
2. Required listing information
•Event name and clear description;
•Date, start time, expected end time, and time zone where relevant;
•Complete venue name, address, online access method, or location instructions;
•Ticket categories, quantities, prices, taxes, charges, and benefits included;
•Age limits, identification requirements, dress code, accessibility limitations, prohibited items, and entry conditions;
•Refund, cancellation, transfer, postponement, and re-entry terms that are consistent with Spotlyte's attendee-facing policies;
•Material performer, speaker, artist, schedule, seating, capacity, or experience limitations;
•Organiser contact or support information where required by Spotlyte.
3. Accuracy and updates
3.1Organisers must promptly update a listing when any material detail changes and must cooperate with Spotlyte in notifying affected Attendees.
3.2A change to date, venue, principal performer, programme, admission conditions, or any other matter likely to affect an Attendee's purchase decision must be clearly disclosed.
3.3Organisers must not conceal mandatory charges or present an incomplete price in a way that misleads Attendees.
4. Prohibited Events and activities
4.1 The following may not be listed or promoted through Spotlyte:
•Events that are unlawful, prohibited, or held without required permissions, licences, venue rights, or safety approvals;
•Events or content that promotes violence, hatred, harassment, or unlawful discrimination against a person or group;
•Gambling, lotteries, raffles, betting, or prize schemes without every licence and approval required by law;
•Adult or age-restricted content that does not comply with applicable law or Spotlyte's age-gating requirements;
•Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing recruitment, deceptive income opportunities, or unlawful investment solicitation;
•Events, Tickets, or content that infringe copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, contractual, or other third-party rights;
•Fraudulent Events, sham transactions, fake sales, money laundering, or Events created to manipulate payment flows, reviews, rankings, or Platform metrics;
•Any Event or activity that Spotlyte reasonably considers to present unacceptable legal, financial, reputational, or safety risk.
5. Content rights and permissions
5.1Organisers may upload only content they own or are authorised to use. This includes photographs, videos, artwork, music, logos, trademarks, artist names, venue images, sponsor branding, testimonials, and promotional copy.
5.2Organisers must obtain all artist, performer, photographer, venue, sponsor, music, model, and brand permissions required for publication and promotion.
5.3Content must not imply endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, affiliation, or participation that does not exist.
5.4By uploading content, the Organiser grants Spotlyte the licence described in the Organiser Terms & Conditions to host, display, format, reproduce, and promote it for Platform and Event purposes.
6. Misleading and manipulative practices
6.1Organisers must not use false scarcity, fabricated countdowns, fake "sold out" claims, misleading discounts, false reviews, unsupported superlatives, or deceptive before-and-after or income claims.
6.2Ticket category names and benefits must be clear. A higher-priced category must not be presented as including benefits that are unavailable or materially different from the description.
6.3Images and videos must reasonably represent the Event, venue, performers, or experience. Stock or illustrative media must not be used in a way that misleads Attendees about what will be delivered.
7. Pricing and Ticket practices
7.1The Organiser controls Ticket prices, subject to applicable law and Platform configuration.
7.2The listing and checkout must clearly show the pricing structure and tax treatment configured for the Event. Organisers must not use hidden mandatory charges or misleading reference prices.
7.3Organisers must not redirect Attendees who discovered or booked the Event through Spotlyte to complete payment outside the Platform for the purpose of avoiding Platform Fees or payment controls.
7.4Organisers must not create artificial purchases, self-funded transactions, circular payments, or other activity designed to inflate Ticket sales or Event popularity.
8. Safety, permits, and regulated content
8.1The Organiser must obtain all approvals and implement safety arrangements appropriate to the Event, venue, capacity, audience, and activities.
8.2Where Spotlyte requests evidence of a permit, licence, venue agreement, artist authority, insurance, or safety approval, the Organiser must provide it before publication or within the stated deadline.
8.3Age-restricted or regulated Events must use appropriate warnings, age limits, and verification processes and must comply with all applicable laws.
9. Attendee communications and Event changes
9.1Organiser messages sent through Spotlyte must be relevant to the Event, respectful, accurate, and not unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or spam-like.
9.2Material Event changes must be communicated promptly. Organisers must not delay disclosure to protect sales or avoid refunds.
9.3Marketing messages unrelated to the booked Event may be sent only where the Attendee has separately consented and applicable law permits.
10. Review and enforcement by Spotlyte
10.1Spotlyte may use automated or manual review and may request documents, edits, clarifications, or proof of rights before or after publication.
10.2Spotlyte may correct formatting, categorisation, spelling, or display issues. Spotlyte may decline, pause, unpublish, restrict, or remove a listing, suspend Ticket sales, limit account features, or hold payouts where a listing may breach this policy or create legal, safety, payment, or reputational risk.
10.3Spotlyte may act in response to Attendee complaints, rights-holder complaints, payment partner alerts, legal notices, authority requests, or its own review.
10.4Removal of a listing does not remove the Organiser's responsibilities for sold Tickets, Attendee communication, refunds, chargebacks, or other obligations.
11. Complaints and rights-holder notices
11.1A person who believes a listing infringes rights or breaches this policy may contact complaints@spotlyte.app and should provide the listing URL, the nature of the complaint, supporting evidence, and contact information.
11.2Spotlyte may share the substance of a complaint with the Organiser where appropriate and may request a response or documents within a specified period.
11.3Repeated, serious, or deliberate violations may result in permanent account restriction or termination.
12. Appeals and reinstatement
12.1An Organiser may request review of a listing decision by contacting complaints@spotlyte.app with the Event ID, decision being challenged, explanation, and supporting evidence.
12.2Spotlyte may restore, modify, or continue the restriction after reviewing the available information. Reinstatement is not guaranteed and may be subject to additional conditions.
13. Policy changes
13.1Spotlyte may update this policy to reflect changes in law, Platform features, safety standards, or risk requirements. Updated terms apply from the stated effective date.
